Bobalee Originals Manufacturing Company Started in 1985, by Bob and Leonora Cook. Since 2000. The company has been operating under their grandchildren Heather and Andy Moysh. Wanting to spend more time with their growing family, Andy & Heather have sold Bobalee to Cindy Benson and Tamie Phizacklea in April 2005. Cindy has been with the company for over 15 years. Cindy and Tamie will continue to produce the same high quality ear candles, and great customer service our customers have expected, and deserve. This letter written by Leonora is about how she started manufacturing ear candles and the success it has brought to others: When our family was young our children had problems with their ears. Dr. John Christopher, an herbalist taught us about ear candling which helped our children. Some 35 years later both Bob and I started having ear problems. We remembered the candling and tried it again. We helped ourselves in our own home and the procedure was safe and easy. We are hooked on candling, we both experience less pain and better hearing while using them. Our source for ear candles went out of business. We tried obtaining candles elsewhere but couldn't find a candle as good as the old candle. What is it they say, "necessity is the mother of invention," we were forced by our needs to develop a candle that worked as good as the old one. After one year of using our own candles we started getting requests from friends to produce candles for them. We had so many requests that we had to start charging our friends, relatives and acquaintances for our candles. With this growth we had to hire help to produce the candles. Now we have sold ear candles to people in all fifty states, South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. We are always asked if we are the ones who invented or developed the ear candle. The answer is ear candling has been around for centuries. Recently, while teaching an ear candling seminar, we heard the most interesting conversation between two men. "My Father does this," one said, "my grandfather did this and the ancients did this," the other replied. When asked, who are your people? They replied "Navajo-Taos." We have a friend from Guatemala who informed us that her mother used rolled up newspaper to clean their ears out. She recalled the fear she felt because the ashes singed her hair, and the fire went to fast. Today the age old ear candle has been refined, now it is smokeless, dripless, slow burning and more effective. We have many testimonials and claims surrounding the effect and success these candles have had on people. They all have their own set of problems and personal experiences. Our own personal experiences involve removal of fluids from the inner ear and heavy build up of wax. Leonora had the flu and fluids built up in her ears and congestion in her sinus'. By candling she could feel the pressure being released from her ears. The body is the temple of your spirit, and the ear is the doorway to your mind. May you have success in trying to help yourself.
